One day courses start at 10:00 a.m. and finish at 4:30 p.m. Each with comprehensive guidance & supportive handouts.

Roman Blinds

During this one day course students will learn how to measure windows and estimate fabric requirements. Construct a handmade roman blind calculating the proportions for the folds. Each student will make a sample roman blind with a comprehensive handout for
future reference. Fabric and sundries included in the price.
Curtain Making
2011: June 17th & 18th, October 14th & 15th
2012: February 17th & 18th
Two day curtain making course: This two day course covers measuring windows, estimating fabric and the making of a small sample curtain. During the course students will learn the relevant stitches used in the process of making curtains and will make either a hand or machine heading. Samples of tracks and poles will be used to demonstrate hanging and dressing of curtains. A handout covering all aspects of work will be available for students to take with them.
Making Pelmets –June 25th, August 19th & October 29th 2011, January 21st 2012
Come to this one day workshop where you will be shown how to design and make a pelmet. Choose from a variety of fabrics and finish with either piping or an appropriate trimming. Each student will have the opportunity to take home with them their product of the day.
Making Cushions –June 4th, August 20th & November 12th 2011 & March 2nd 2012
During this one day course students will learn how to make a cushion cover with piped edges and a zip fastening.
Have Fun With Trimmings

This one day course is for those who would like to experiment with trimmings but not sure how to apply them. We will discuss where and how to use trimmings students will then be offered a wide range of trimmings to experiment with. A fun day allowing students to develop their creativity. Each student will take home their sample of applied trimmings.
